HUNT WRITE UP BY BRADY DAVIS

WHAT TO EXPECT

For years I’ve heard tales of California duck hunting. The Golden State doesn’t get talked about much east of the Mississippi river in duck hunting circles, but it’s a state that routinely ends up having more ducks killed than any other state. While clubs and private lands cover the area, there are plenty of public marshes and waters. CA also has some of the best flooded rice field hunting that can be had in the US. Mild temps, predictable migrations and generous limits make this a top priority on our list to pursue.

  • WEATHER EXPECTED TO BE MILD

  • BOAT OPTION

  • CACKLERS MIGRATE EARLY SEASON THROUGH CA. SEA DUCKS ALL SEASON. PUDDLE DUCKS LATE SEASON.

  • WILOW / TULE MARSH

CACKLING GOOSE / COMMON SCOTER / MALLARD / CINNAMON TEAL / BRANT
